Our Incubator will nurture your creativity and help your ideas turn into reality in a physical environment. Besides actual office space, we offer access to professional guidance through every step of the way of building a company. This is the meeting grounds for entrepreneurs in creative medias.
The most important part is the idea. Without it, there’s simply no idea.
Incubator is Latin and refers to a safe breeding ground. For a company to become an Incubator-company, you need to fit into one of three industries: Creative Industry, Energy- and Green Technology or Production Technology. The Innovatum Technology Park also focuses on design as a valued component through all three industries, which means your idea could also aim towards a design concept.
Your idea has to show growth prospects, be unique but also vital on a national/international market. From experience, we know that for an idea to be able to grow, you need a solid human resource to base it on, which is why we also evaluate your prospects as an entrepreneur at the Incubator. It doesn’t matter to us if you are a student, full time employee or just someone with a really good idea – you need to get in touch with us!
Our process
The Incubator is organized in three stages. First we get an application with an idea – it can be anything from a random phonecall from someone that has an idea and wants to brainstorm around it to a fully fledged business plan that is sent in for consideration. Every idea is considered and analyzed, and we meet with the future entrepreneurs to go over their plan and strategy.
Next step is the pre-incubator, where the entrepreneurs can get a feel for starting up a business – we offer our 4C, mentioned below as well as a personal business coach for a duration of 6 months. After that, every entrepreneur has to make a presentation for a reference group, detailing his or her pre-incubator time, including the business plan. If the reference group gives it a go, the entrepreneur is moved to the Incubator.
In the Incubator, we continue to offer all four points mentioned above, personal coaching and workshops, aiming for the businesses to reach a national or international market. The Incubator phase lasts up to 3 years, whereafter the entrepreneur becomes an Alumni.
Our offer
Being an Incubator company is so much more then guidance. We provide a safe start-up environment based on our 4C strategy.
Connections – by creating clusters of old, current and new incubator companies, as well as companies that are interested in further supporting new business ventures in a virtual media field, we help to build networks, exchange ideas and market yourself
Center – physical rooms with desks, adsl, phones, access to printers and a break room as well as conference room access, all designed to help new businesses have a steady ground to work from as well as be able to meet and connect with people in their own field
Competence – inhouse as well as external consultants to further support a budding business. We supply continuous business development coaching (inhouse), the ability to participate in lectures or workshops and legal and financial assistance when needed
Capital – our primary help is to locate where to look for funds, and our cooperation with organizations such as Almi, Innovationsbron Väst AB or so called ‘business angels’ will help financing a startup business
Moreover, we offer our businesses access to a blue screen, RenderNet and Motion Capture and a very capable support staff, but also lectures, workshops and entrepreneurial guidance to maximize the potentials of your ideas.
